Wat Raikhing Temple, and Sampran Elephant Ground and Crocodile Farm. 8:30 Coach depart from hotel in Bangkok and proceed to Sampran District, Nakorn Pratom Province, famous for fruit orchards and fresh air. 9:30 Arrival at Don Wai Riverside Market. This market is an ancient local market and famous for fruits and steamed duck and duck noodles. It is situated next to Tha Jeen River (China Pier River). This river was a popular route for trading with China and for the Chinese migration into Thailand centuries ago. Visitors will be given time free at leisure to stroll around the market. 10:30 Depart on the local river boat to Wat Raikhing Temple passing through fruit orchards, coconut orchards, and river houses. (approx 30 minutes ride) 11:00 Arrival to Wat Raikhing Temple. It was built in 1791 by a highly revered monk. The main Buddha was caste during the Chiang Saen period (1400 AD). Legend has it that the Buddha image floated to the location of the temple, was discovered and moved up to the riverbank. The temple is very famous to the Thai people for making wishes. There are a lot of big fish on the riverbank where visitors can feed them. 11:30 The coach will be waiting at Wat RaiKhing to transfer visitors to Sampran Elephant Ground and Crocodile Farm. There will be elephant and crocodile performances. There will be a good buffet lunch after the show. Visitors will also be given time to ride elephants (optional) around the area. *NB.
